Don't see much difference. Maybe that's the point, but I would think Huawei were going to do a full facelift of the UI.

Personally like Emui the best of the Chinese softwares and Hydrogen OS the least but it basically all boils down to personal preference

Bratnikola, 23 Jan 2021Looks just like Android, that's a shame. But at least no Google. Sure.. and you don't use YouTube, Google maps or Google search.. No Google means iPhone - only Chinese people could use a phone with no gms, the rest of the world won't buy a phone without Google apps.

It's nice that they put a compatibility layer for smoth the transition. HMS are improving a lot and reaching a good amount of apps. Have alternatives is always good for customers so you can choose what is best for you and you like more.
It's loable the effort and at some point they'll produces their high end SoCs again, and hopefully with RISC-V and not depend of ARM. The time will show it.

What is the point of... moreCurrently, HarmonyOS native app is not many as other Os app. So to fill that gap, android capabilities is must have. no one want to use phone with no popular apps like windows phone in the past.
